Bethlehem Landfill hosts follow-up meeting with Steel City residents
BETHLEHEM, Pa. – Officials from Bethlehem Landfill met Monday evening with about 80 homeowners in the Steel City neighborhood to discuss the latest operational enhancements at the landfill, as well as a revised Property Guaranty Agreement (PGA) aimed at addressing neighbors’ concerns about property values.
The meeting was held in Steel City at the Steel City Mennonite Church. Bethlehem Landfill first met with Steel City homeowners in November 2014 to discuss the PGA and operations at the Applebutter Road site.
“We’re grateful for the opportunity to once again meet with our neighbors in Steel City – in their very own neighborhood,” said John Lamanna, Region Vice President. “We look forward to keeping communication lines open with our neighbors, as their feedback is important to us and has had positive impacts on the way we operate our Applebutter Road facility.”
Another Steel City neighborhood meeting is scheduled tentatively for late May.
