Acceptable Items and Disposal Details

Bethlehem Landfill accepts household and construction waste from Northampton, Lehigh, Bucks, Berks and Montgomery counties. Depending on the type of vehicle, here’s what you need to know before dropping off items for disposal:


  • Cash only
  • Vehicle registration required
  • No open-toe shoes
  • No children allowed

Pick-up Truck/Single-axle Trailer

  • Cash or credit card
  • Vehicle and Trailer Registration Required
  • Vehicle must be under 17,000 lbs.
  • Trailer must be under 10,000 lbs.
  • Load MUST Be Securely Tarped
  • NO Open Toe Shoes
  • NO Children Allowed

Box Truck/Stake Body Truck/Double-Axle Trailer

  • Cash or credit card
  • Vehicle and Trailer registration required
  • Vehicle must be under 17,000 lbs.
  • Trailer must be under 10,000 lbs.
  • Work Boots Highly Recommended
  • Safety gear (hard hat, safety vest) required
  • Open Vehicles must be securely tarped
  • No open-toe shoes allowed
  • No children allowed

Unacceptable Items
