We are proposing to rezone 83 acres to the west of our Applebutter Road facility for the development of 58 acres of new landfill cells. In August 2013, the Lower Saucon Township Planning Commission recommended rezoning with a 3-2 vote in favor of the proposed zoning amendments. The project will allow our company to continue operations for 12 to 16 years. Continued operations of our facility will mean continued benefits to our community in the form of host agreement payments, contributions and taxes.
The western rezoning will increase the site’s disposal capacity, allowing Bethlehem Landfill to continue servicing our customers with environmental solutions for an additional 12 to 16 years. Our continued operation will mean continued benefits to our community in the form of host agreement payments, contributions and taxes.
A healthy local economy is built on job retention and tax paying businesses. Our rezoning project will save jobs, maintain tax revenues and sustain host agreement payments to Lower Saucon Township.
